On 01/03/2022 this joint event with the Latin American Women's Initiative Neukölln e.V. (LAFI) took place. We invited Latin American and Caribbean migrant women living in Europe to participate in a space for collective and creative reflection.
As a first impulse, we present the documentary film "Un Planeta" by Isabel Calderón, produced by LAFI e.V. The content of the film is the life of ten Latin American women in Berlin. They talk about their lives, tell their migration stories and share their dreams of a world without borders.
This was followed by a round table discussion with several Spanish-speaking migrant women activists in organizations in Spain, Germany and Switzerland. The objective was to share life experiences and activism from a perspective of empowerment, pride and resistance in the face of exclusion, exploitation and oppression suffered by migrant women.
