On Saturday 17/6/2023 Anny Roa will present the focus of CECUCOL's work. CECUCOL is based in Cali and has been organizing activities with children, youth, young adults and women for over 30 years. It focuses on the struggle for human rights in two neighborhoods in the city of Cali: Municipio 18 and Municipio 54.
CECUCOL promotes and supports sustainable development processes in these neighborhoods and seeks to collectively develop social, economic, political, ecological and cultural alternatives. CECUCOL's experience is based on popular education. Educational work is a strategic tool for empowerment, generates critical thinking and serves to mobilize for real access to rights. CECUCOL advocates for a change in state policies and for the defense of the territory.
